In Elbasan, which is a city of the late Middle Ages, religious institutions were built very close to one another, a phenomenon that did not exist in other cities of the Ottoman Empire. Inside the castle it is located the Church of St. Mary’s Assumption and the King’s Mosque.
Religious tolerance has always been part of our society !
The mosque called “King Mosque” is built around 1482-1485. It is the oldest mosque in Albania!
